Moving abroad for education or career is a bold step, but it often means leaving behind the cultural heartbeat that defines us. We founded Wolfsburg Marathi Mandal to bridge that gap.
We are more than just a cultural group; we are a community dedicated to reliving the festivals, arts, and traditions that make us who we are. Our goal is to foster a supportive environment where every Indian feels at home. Although rooted in Marathi heritage, our doors are open to all—bringing the spirit of Indian togetherness to Wolfsburg
शिक्षण किंवा करिअरसाठी परदेशात जाणे हे एक धाडसी पाऊल आहे, परंतु अनेकदा याचा अर्थ आपली ओळख जपणाऱ्या सांस्कृतिक स्पंदनांना मागे सोडणे असा होतो. हीच उणीव भरून काढण्यासाठी आम्ही ‘वोल्फसबर्ग मराठी मंडळ’ (Wolfsburg Marathi Mandal) ची स्थापना केली आहे.
आम्ही केवळ एक सांस्कृतिक समूह नसून, आपले सण, कला आणि परंपरांना उजाळा देण्यासाठी समर्पित असलेला एक परिवार आहोत. प्रत्येक भारतीयाला परदेशातही आपल्या घरासारखे वाटावे, असे आश्वासक वातावरण निर्माण करणे हे आमचे ध्येय आहे. जरी आमची मुळे मराठी संस्कृतीत असली, तरी आमची दारे सर्व भारतीयांसाठी खुली आहेत—ज्याद्वारे आम्ही वोल्फसबर्गमध्ये भारतीय एकतेची भावना वृद्धिंगत करण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहोत.

Mr. Neeraj Purkar - President
Neeraj works in automotive sector and he is living in Wolfsburg since 2017. He is a hobbyist photographer and also is a wanderer. For him, photography is more than a way of making memories.
He likes being part of cultural activities.
Mr. Somnath Kamate -Vice President
A resident of Wolfsburg since 2014, Somnath brings over a decade of local experience and professional expertise from his career in the PLM IT Service industry. Beyond his professional life, he is a dedicated advocate for the preservation of Indian heritage within the diaspora. Somnath is deeply passionate about cultural continuity, focusing his efforts on ensuring that the richness of Marathi traditions is passed down meaningfully to the next generation. An enthusiast for driving and cinema, he believes that storytelling through Indian movies is a powerful way to stay connected to one’s roots. He is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where our community can socialize, celebrate, and keep the spirit of Maharashtra alive in Germany.
Mr. Kountey Chougule - Treasurer
Kountey is a software professional living in Wolfsburg since 2017 with his family. A passionate amateur mimicry artist, he enjoys watching films and dramas and listening to audiobooks in his free time. As an active member of the WMM e.V. family, he contributes his technical and creative skills through website maintenance, digitization of administration, and the design of flyers, posters, and digital creatives. He also explores new digital tools to support efficient event planning and seamless team collaboration.
Mr Nishat Pavaskar - Dhol-Tasha Pathak
Nishant is working in the automotive industry and has been living in Wolfsburg since 2022. He is a passionate Dhol-Tasha player and loves to participate and contribute in cultural activities. As hobbies, he likes to play piano and enjoys going on cycle rides.
Mrs. Divya Dakare
Divya is a highly artistic individual with excellent design skills and a strong creative mindset. She enjoys cooking and brings creativity into everything she does. She has actively participated in Dhol-Tasha cultural activities and has volunteered in multiple ladies’ cultural initiatives. She has been associated with WMM for the last three years and is deeply committed to preserving and promoting Marathi culture.
Mrs. Megharani Chougule
Megharani is a dentist and had a clinic in Pune. In 2017, she shifted to Wolfsburg with her husband and daughter. She likes painting and baking. She is an amiable person who avoids solitude. With WMM e.V. platform, she has been connecting with the Indian diaspora by actively participating in various events and celebrating Indian festivals.
Mr Sourabh Dakare - Social Media
Sourabh is working as a Marketing Manager in the Gaming sector. He is passionate about sports and actively enjoys playing badminton and cricket. Dancing is also one of his favorite hobbies. He actively participates in sports activities across the region. He has been associated with WMM for the last two years and has volunteered in multiple cultural activities. He strongly believes in spreading Marathi culture and traditions within the community. With his marketing experience, he aims to promote love, passion, and togetherness among community members.
Mr Sudhir Shinde
Sudhir is an IT professional in the automotive industry and has been actively involved in WMM events with his family for the past four years. A former cultural performer, he is also a passionate athlete who enjoys cycling and rowing. He has competed at the state level in cycling and is a two-time University Rowing Champion, also representing his university at the All India Inter-University Rowing Championship. He believes strongly in teamwork and is excited to contribute to the WMM e.V. community.
Mrs. Vidya Kumbhar
Vidya Kumbhar has worked professionally in the marketing field and brings a creative, people-centric approach to everything she does. She is someone who loves music, movies, and positive vibes, which naturally reflects in her personality and interactions. Known for her charismatic and engaging nature, Vidya connects easily with people from diverse backgrounds. She has a natural ability to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere, whether in social gatherings, community events, or professional environments. Her enthusiasm, confidence, and approachable demeanor allow her to communicate openly, build strong relationships, and leave a lasting positive impression
Mr Ruturaj Anande
Ruturaj has been working in the automotive R&D sector and has been based in Wolfsburg since 2017. An active sports enthusiast, he enjoys playing cricket and table tennis. He also loves exploring new places and discovering diverse food cultures. Deeply rooted in Indian traditions, he is passionate about preserving and promoting Marathi culture and strongly believes in passing Indian values. He has been actively attend Marathi cultural events at WMM for the past several years and looks forward to contributing even more to WMM while helping expand the reach of Marathi culture within the community.
Mr Swapnil Chaudhari
Swapnil has been living in Germany since 2012 and has gained diverse experiences across different cities, including six years in Stuttgart, one year in Köln, and the past eight years in Wolfsburg. He is working in an automotive design and development company and has strong professional experience in the automotive industry. He enjoys traveling to new places and loves going on long drives in his free time. Swapnil is deeply passionate about Indian culture and traditions. He strongly believes in passing on Indian values to the next generation and ensuring that children grow up with a strong sense of cultural identity. Through community involvement, he aims to contribute to preserving and celebrating Indian traditions.
Mr Mayuresh Yeolekar
Mayuresh Yeolekar has been working in the automotive sector in Germany since 2022. He loves staying active through sports, enjoys traveling, and is always excited about exploring new places. He also likes meeting new people and discovering different cultures, making every new experience more meaningful and fun.
