Formation of Wolfsburg Marathi Mandal e.V. aims the cultivation, promotion and spread of the art and culture of the Indian state of “Maharashtra”, the intercultural ex-change of the Indian state of “Maharashtra” with the “Lower Saxony” state of Germany as well as the promotion of international and intercultural encounters and support and advice for Indian compatriots in all situations of life.
Since 2020, we are celebrating below festivals and undertaking many activities to stand true to our principles and aims.
- Celebrating Maharashtrian Festivals like Ganesh Festival, Haladi-Kuku, 1. May Maharashtra Day, Marathi Language Day, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, Aashadhi Ekadashi, Diwali, Tualsi Vivaah etc.
- We have also served platform for all Indian Community by arranging other Indian festivals like Dandiya and have hosted a pan India Food festival which introduced Indian taste of homemade food in this region of Wolfsburg and Braunschweig.
- We also observe national festival like 15. August Independence Day and have contributed many initiatives under India@75 program which was promoted by Indian Consulate Hamburg.
- We have formed Lezim and Dhol-Tasha pathak and have also imported required musical instruments from India.
- We have started Marathi Shaala for kids here.
- We have also organized seminars and informative sessions on German Taxation, Insurances and other related topics which makes our life easier in this foreign country.
- We also have Marathi Books Library.
