History

Since 2016, Omkar has been instrumental in bringing the Indian and Maharashtrian diaspora in and around Wolfsburg together. He took initiative and in summer of 2019, like-minded people joined hands together to celebrate first ever Ganesh Festival publicly in Wolfsburg and Braunschweig region. The success of this event led the stepping stone for the formation of Wolfsburg Marathi Mandal. Later, Wolfsburg Marathi Mandal was officially registered as e.V. (eingetragene Verein) in 2020.
                The team at eV foundation have continued to contribute as core team in this noble cause and this has also encouraged many more to come along.
