In 1893, the Indian freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak praised and dedicated his efforts to launch the common (Sarvajanik) Ganesh Utsav, as everyone’s God, bringing together people from all walks of life. Wolfsburg Marathi Mandal celebrated Ganapati festival in 2019 with great pomp. We started with Ganesh poojan. Then there were cultural and entertainment programs, dances, quiz, musical chair game finally ending with sumptuous dinner. Even though Wolfsburg is a small city with just over 100000 population, this event had 150+ participants.
